Four months ago I had a large acne cyst on my nose that had to be removed by a dermatologist, who said that there should be no resulting scar. Unfortunately, I was still left with a large, raised reddish-purple scar that has not shown signs of fading since. What would be the best method of removal (medication or surgery) and what would be the cost for a single scar? Thanks for your help.

I have dark scars/spots from previous acne. I am tired of having to wear so much make-up to cover it up! I dont get acne that often anymore, but I do have oily skin. I've tried pro-active and other on the spot acne treatments but they don't fade my scars at all.

i have two acne scars in my face. since the other region of my face is clear, these scars makes my face look so bad. i am afraid of cosmetic surgeries. is it advisable to go for a scar removal treatment in beauty parlours? if not, what will be the best treatment for it?

I am nearly 17 and have had acne for 6 years which has left me with hideous scars all over my face. I would like to get them removed via laser treatment but do not know at what age i can get this done. Putting make up on all day every day is tiring and expensive. I even have to do it before my hockey and basketball games on saturday mornings (who wears make up to play sport!?!?) Please help me - i look awful with no make up on and am desperate to feel pretty once again.

Before laser treatment try solve your problem naturally. I have suffered acne for since I was 11 years old, and the only thing that works is applying Neutrogena's On the Spot Acne Treatment. I would just wash my face, gently pat dry my face, and apply a thin layer of the application. If you have a slightly to very oily skin, do not bother putting any moisturizer. I takes a short time (1 to 3 months) for your skin to make a big difference. My skin improved within 3 weeks.

i was wondering how much to completely get rid of all of them fast?
proactive isnt for scars dummy just acne and right now i dont have acne, just scars

acne scars can be removed by laser or IPL but better consult your dermatologist first because s/he has to see what kind of scars they are (if they're very deep etc) ..it will definitely take more than one session (so don't think that you can get rid of them very fast). It's also a bit expensive (since you want it on your back which is quite a large area). Prices for laser treatment vary (depends on the country and so on) but to give you an idea it would cost around 100euros (sry I don't know the equivalent in american dollars) per session (for your back and face)

My girlfriend is considering getting pixel laser treatment to remove some minor acne scarring that she has on her face. I don't know much about it and I would like to know more before she signs up for the treatment. What about the side affects? I have read that your face looks very burned afterwards.

I have had my face laser resurfaced twice and it has improved my acne scarring by about 50%. You should go and see a dermatologist to get more information about it.
