I have 2 acne treatments (Proactiv Refining Mask & another drying gel) that have sulfur as the main ingredient. They smell horrible, but they really work well! I was wondering what it actually does? Does it clear the pores or does it kill the acne bacteria? No big emergency, just wondering! Thanks!

I use Clean & Clear acne cleanser. It worked for about a month.. but I think it stopped working. Any home remedies I can use? Or any really good acne treatments?

Clean and clear is extremely gay, i hated it becuase it just made my acne worse. But the greatest stuff in the world just came out, Neutrogena came out with a 2 in 1 gel that does precisely clear your acne and acne scars. I'm extremely happy i switched from clean and clear to Neutrogena, you totally should too

I've heard that if you eat hot water with lemon slices before you go to bed that it'll clear up acne? Is this true? Any other home remedies to make to eat or drink that'll help skin?

Ive suffered with acne for 5 years now and a friend told me recently that eliminating dairy products from your diet can help get rid of acne. I thought id give it a try since i have nothing to loose considering all the MONEY and time i have spent on acne products and facials in the past.

It took about 3 weeks to see a noticeable difference and 4 weeks later the only remains on my face are a few scars which will heal over time. I stopped eating/drinking milk, cream, ice cream, cheese and basically anything with high milk contents. I still eat some yogurt a few times a week because i still want some calcium intake and yogurt is also very good for your intensinal flora. I will also buy some calcium tablets.

After all these years of medication, expensive facial treatments, laser treatment anything you name it, i have done it, i can finally say im free from acne. I have to say though that i was shocked because of all the research ive done and doctors ive been to, never ever mentioned anything about dairy products and how they may be a major cause of acne. I also did more research about why milk may be a huge factor in acne and it came up with because of the hormones in milk that are produced by a cow when the cow is pregnant. It all makes sense and
finally after all these years i have found the cure for acne.

Forget the products for now stop eating any dairy products and see if there is any difference.
Give it a go you have nothing to loose!

You know damn well that washing your face won't prevent or clear acne if you're a teenager in the middle of puberty.

Hell, I wash my face three times daily with acne medicated cleansers, and that never stops them from actually coming, but the leave-in creams do.

Did you try not washing your face at all? You'll never know how much more of what you have would have come up if u didn't wash your face. Washing doesn't mean acne-free but washing away the dirts and oils causing acne. It's just a prevention, not a treatment. Since you're in your puberty, your testosterone levels are so high and your body is still adjusting to the changes, these are some signs of puberty.
Washing 3x a day is good enough and only wash it with recommended soaps/wash. And use a clean towel to wipe your face, not paper towels or tissues. These aren't really clean and might cause infection

I need cheap ways to clear all of my acne fast. Like within a month or less. I hope that you give me things that most people have at home.

Try washing your face by wetting it with water then scrubbing it lightly with baking soda and rinse well. Follow by applying vinegar to the face with a cotton ball. Do this before you go to bed and then just wash your face normally in the morning(you don't want to go around smelling like vinegar.) I used to use this when I was a teen and it worked pretty well.

I have used proactive for about a year now and its been working great but just recently i have been using another topical ance ointmen called clearasil ultra. It worked decent for me in the past but now my face is breaking out and its the worst its ever been. Is there any way that i can clear this acne as soon as tomorrow??

Stop using those medicines for a week or 2. They will work great again after that. Tonight try using an asprin mask, they work wonders! Look on YouTube for Asprin Mask and there will be tutorials. Its real easy, just asprin and water! good luck!
