What are the best labels to use for private packaging of my natural body care products that i make myself. I have tried going to office depot and staples and they just dont have the right kind of labels that i am looking for. Keep in mind, i am on a very tight budget.

More and more research points to destruction of our environment from body care products. Who should be financially responsible for cleaning it up? Companies who make them, consumers who use them, or all of us through taxation for government clean-up?

Chemicals found in household products like antibacterial soap and plastic bottles are found in sewage water that is discharged into San Francisco Bay, posing a threat to wildlife and humans, according to new data....The inspectors found three types of chemicals -- phthalates, bisphenol A and triclosan. All are suspected of interfering with hormone systems of humans and wildlife..."We're involved because we know that these compounds are out there, and we cannot treat them in the wastewater stream," said Charles Hardy, EBMUD spokesman.

Al Gore should be help responsible. After all, he is leading all of the environmental whackos on this crusade. Let him fix the problem. =)

It is society in general and lack of accountability. We all just need to do our part. we cant go on a witch hunt.

I would like to sell my own body care products, inscence and candles. I just need to know a good way to market my products.

Try starting with an Internet site. And make sure that you've thoroughly tested and had independent tests done on the safety of any body products you manufacture and sell to the public.

I work as a manicurist partime and when i service my clients. i used some of the products that i make. I make body glow salt scurbs, using all natural essential oils and i use my own hand whipped shea butter as a moisturizer. When performing my natural nail care services and pedicure, my clients always rave about how good my products feel and ask about them. I have sold them to my clients as well, but i want to know if i should go all out and if this is a lucrative business

i definitley think that natural body care products is a great business idea because people want to know what they're putting on and into their bodies.
i think it also really depends on where you live. for instance, i know you'd probably find a very favourable market out here in vancouver, bc. those kind of products are huge.
if i were you, i'd start within the confines of your work and your clients. perhaps give them samples that they can give to friends and family to try, and like you said, people are still raving about your product, start staking out beauty product stores and setting up appointments to talk to the owner or manager about selling your products in them. but i definitley think you're on to something, and the sky is the limit.

Most of which contain chemicals that are scientifically proven allergy triggers? My neighbor, who has bad allergies, uses all kinds of sprays and such. She hasn't even noticed that her allergy symptoms disappear after a few hours at my house. Why do allergy sufferers use products with known triggers like she does?

I tend to, but everyonce in a while I have to switch to cedaphil or something of the sorts. I dont like it though bc it doesnt get 'soapy' per se, and I dont feel I get clean. Most scents in the soaps and shampoos are light enough that they dont bother me, but I find very hard to wear perfume or spray. The thing is a lot of people dont realize that they are allergic to it. Or know they are but dont care. But the longer you are not exposed to the allergen, the worse your reactions are (in my experience). For example, when I first learned I was officially allergice to cats, I didnt care, stil let the cat sleep on my head. Well she died like 5 yrs ago, havnt had an indoor cat since. I am ok to pet a cat and wash hands, But I absolutly CANNOT be in a house with indoor cats for even 5 mins today. Will probably never have another cat. Sucks, bc I love cats.

I need a list of a few items such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash, lotions... that aren't tested on animals.
