I am a 21 year old female. As far as a daily routine, this is as follows. Every morning, I take a shower and I wash my face. I apply my make-up, do my hair and I'm off for the day. At the end of the day I floss and brush my teeth then I wash my face and call it a day.
I haven't done much studying in the way of facial maintenance but I know the basics. If you don't take care of your face by keeping it clean then the pores on your face will clog causing unsightly pimples.
However, I must be doing something wrong here because I still get pimples. I mean, there's a time where for about 2 weeks my skin will be clear, then for the next 2 weeks my face explodes with about 4 pimples, some smaller and some painfully larger. For these days I use a spot treatment, it's called "Clearasil Ultra, Vanishing Cream Treatment". However, this product takes a long time to completely get rid of the pimple.
As far as Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Acne Wash, it leaves my face dry and moisture less.
I’m sick of putting so much effort towards my face and I’m getting nothing in return. My pores are huge, my skintone uneven, and for half of each month I’m spending twenty minutes a day trying to camouflage it.
Does anyone have any advice or can recommend any products that will do everything I want it to do?
1)Keep my face clear of pimples
2)Restore an even skin tone
3)Reduce the size of my pores.
4)Possibly suggest a different routine that may be more effective.

I'm so glad you asked this! I looked online for the same reason several months ago. I found Allure Magazine's Best of Beauty list. They put it out every year. I pasted the link for you below. I haven't tried everything on the list, but the ones I have tried are great and I found several products that I will use again.

also ive bought self tanner, nivea for men brand and piz buin spray tan intensifyer. i want to no when i should apply the self tanners in my facial care routine, what order? after face wash and moisterize?

so two questions here really

To combat premature aging:
-Eat well/exercise. That's not facial care, but it helps.
-Baby your face after shaving with a moisturizer.
-Use a daily moisturizer with at least SPF 15 moisturizers and UVA/UVB protection to prevent lines/wrinkles.
-Exfoliate sometimes and if you feel necessary, use an eye cream (honestly, though, that's going into metrosexual territory)

Applying self-tanner:
-Exfoliate
-Clean skin
-Moisturize to prevent dry patches (dry patches absorb more tanner so they become darker than surrounding skin)
-Apply self-tanner
-Make sure you have all the visible parts on you covered (ie, face and neck)

What is included in a daily facial/skin care routine?

Does it go like this?

Wash with scrubbing stuff
Wash with facial soap
Wash with cleanser
Put on lotion
Put on eye cream
Put on sunscreen
Put on makeup

How is this supposed to go?

Can I buy the stuff I need at the store?

Before we start with the proper daily step-by-step skincare routine, you'll need to know her skin type. How you care for your skin is utterly dependent on the type of skin you have: oily, normal/combination, dry, sensitive or sun- damaged.

The characteristics of skin are:

Normal to Dry:
Normal – Not too oily or dry, few blemishes, skin is firm and is generally smooth with small pores. Dry – Due to sun and age, skin may lack natural oils. May look smooth with fine pores, few blackheads and blemishes.

Normal to Oily:
Normal – Not oily or dry, few blemishes, skin is firm and is generally smooth with small pores. Oily – Shiny and coarse, may have recurring blackheads and enlarged pores, often youthful looking.

Combination:
Oily T-zone (forehead, nose and chin). Normal to dry around cheeks and throat. Can be oily along chin, jaw, temples and dry elsewhere.

Acne/Blemishes:
Generally oily. Blackheads and pimples. Potential scarring and pitting.

Sensitive:
Extremely delicate. Broken capillaries, veins and vessels beneath skin surface. Should not be over stimulated.

Mature:
Fine lines. Loose, “crépe-like” appearance. Loss of elasticity.
